This is because "gravity" is a completely made-up concept, invented purely to make NASA's spinning spaceball globe model possible.
"Gravity" is not measurable. There is no way to test it. Nowhere in the real world will you ever see a small object sticking to a bigger object, let alone start orbiting around it.
The entire idea is utterly silly when you actually stop and use your discerning brain. Bodies of mass DO NOT gain a magical suctioning ability as they increase in size.
The ONLY REASON you think this happens when you move up to a giant scale is because NASA and fictional space movies have shown you the visual of actors sticking to a ball THOUSANDS OF TIMES over the course of your life. That is IT. You have NEVER seen this phenomenon occur outside of your television set or smartphone screen.
Objects move up and down in our world due to DENSITY, BUOYANCY, and ELECTROSTATICS. That is IT.
