I can finally reply without fearing they are scammers and/or impostors of the users I know but don't follow.

That's not a good solution, only temporary because it still requires me to look at the number, and guess. Charging 21 sats or lower to send a DM is a good solution. Most scammers aren't willing to pay on a mass scale.
