The tech company I worked for even in the late 00’s laid off half its staff because it was going insolvent due to lack of orders following 2008 and theft on the part of the owner. They split the whole QA dept across myself and another existing dept manager. I handled the entire new workload in minutes each week with a short script that converted multi page warranty product packing slip reports into return materials authorization work orders for the guys on the production floor.
