Same? No, not even close. Tracking is so built into phones that it’s damn near impossible to untangle it.
Laptops are part of the network, not a custom built tracking device so most of your tracking risk comes from your configuration and how you use it.
So, don’t use Apple ID, disable iCloud, turn off Bluetooth, use a privacy browser, follow my advice on DNS, network controls, and force encrypted DNS.
It’s not ideal but meets most people’s risk profile.
