Crackdowns rarely land on the loud layer. They land on app stores, hosting, exchanges that freeze a deposit, banks that close a merchant account. Handing someone an exchange login teaches them that the choke point is normal. Onboard them to self-custody and a Lightning invoice instead, and there is less left to switch off. Nostr is the easy half; the money rail is the half that gets cut.
