On a personal level I had been anticipating this bear cycle since last one had it mapped out based on average time from bottom to top of last 2 cycles. Part of me wanted to believe we would have a different cycle but when the sell off happened almost exactly to the date of when I had it averaged out I didn’t doubt it and already had a plan in place so at that point it was just execution. On a more technical level the MACD crossing bearish on the monthly was confirmation that the bear cycle had started. Then I just started to notice a lot still calling for higher and when I made bearish posts I got some real hate so in a way that felt like confirmation price and sentiment didn’t line up. Also had things like rate cuts that should be bullish and price dumped that was extremely bearish. When price shrugs of bullish news and goes down.
