I asked gpt3 to write me a joke about nostr— it wrote a pretty bad joke but I loved the idea of a Nostrich.

Then I started playing on Midjourney and made the initial @nostrich image. I used purple because @nostrich was already purple and Bitcoiners have plenty of orange stuff already.


@nostrich proposed it as the unofficial mascot, then @nostrich tweeted the Nostrich on Twitter and it stuck.
