Wisp launching v1.0.0 brings a polished Nostr client to Google Play with normie mode that makes fiat currencies the default for new users lowering the barrier to entry. it matters because mainstream adoption happens when people don't have to think in sats to start using the network. Credit to the hundreds of beta testers and the team for shipping features that make nostr accessible.

Mainstream adoption will come when there is familiarity with the Nostr clients, most noobs don’t want yet another set of credentials to keep track of. The lack of a built in backup in case you lose it, like traditional credentials, is probably scaring people away as well. While I am not particular...
