I give them the gift of a seat and a real discussion... Much to the chagrin of my family. They think I should "leave them alone" while I think I should test them on what they're promoting from a philosophical, economical, and historical construct. The vast majority of glorified flyer handlers. None of have ever sent the actual candidate to my door. One candidate did doorknock, left flyer, I messaged, and they returned for a mostly shallow (on their part) conversation while I grilled steaks in the backyard. He got points for showing up but lost points for being wishy-washy.
