There's also the ongoing war between the sexes that they pretend isn't happening, even though you can't miss it if you go on any social media these days. In the Western countries, that's because acknowledging it would mean addressing the religion of feminism which is a major destructive force. I am not sure if the same is true in China since I don't live there or understand their culture.
