Data has been "the new oil" for large tech companies for a while. They're getting rich building massive data models on using data that people freely provide to them in exchange for their services. Open protocols allow users to take back control and puts users in charge of their data. Nostr allows us to all be in charge of our own social graph. This is why I'm so bullish on Nostr. It's game changing.

But you do realize that your data is still stored on relays, so relay operators still have access to your data, if they choose to do something with it.
