What if nostr apps worked like a torrent app? say I want to upload/distribute a video, so I make my post about it and I share the video from my photo app into my Nostr app. then if someone wants to watch it, it somehow gives them an encrypted connection to me. They download the video and now there’s two people that can distribute the video. Say a third person wants it. They download it twice as fast cause it’s coming from two people. now there’s three people with the video - repeat. is there any reason this couldn’t work (storage) why should or shouldn’t it be done? Perhaps the uploader could offer a zap bounty to encourage initial downloads to bootstrap the distribution.
