@nprofile1q... i learned recently that quake only ran at 10-15 fps on a minimum recommended system and barely above 30 fps on the most powerful machines, and a cpu that could run it at 60 fps didn’t exist until a couple years after it came out, so it had to be kinda slow or it would be impossible to play for most people at the time
