Managing egos of grown men is wild. Saw two cry today both over fiat rot. Then I had to negotiate my way out of a jam with two large customers contracted in the same space at the same time tomorrow 😬
One groups contract was valued at 1.5M and awesome legal terms for the hotel (I wrote & negotiated the contract 😎)
Another groups contracts value is $700k and shit terms/legal language. Technically we were in breach of their contract.
Had to figure out a way to make my customer feel good about giving me meeting space back that their C-Suite was in and not give away the house.
They said their minimum to consider asking the VIPs to move out was $45k....
Got hairy for a minute throughout the conversations.
Got them to feel good about $10k credit, 2 bottles of scotch, and a bottle of red wine. They may rebook for 2028 after the negotiations.
