With artificial intelligence on the rise, do you think the programming profession will cease to exist?

I miss the problem solving, the typing was always meh 😄

I tried coding a websocket API with punchcards the other day, it was cathartic 🤣

Typing with my fingers makes me feel like a stone age ape

There’s still no substitute for typing through the shape of an idea yourself. Tools can accelerate, but taste usually gets trained in the manual reps first.

How quaint

Only thing I miss is not having to argue with the AI to do something the way I tell it to Besides that I’d rather have AI type that stuff
