But after watching Adam Back’s stance on the op_return debate, I’m done buying Blockstream products. I’ll be sticking with my Keystone (Bitcoin-only firmware), which frankly leaves Jade in the dust anyway.
Glad I never touched @River and won’t in the future. Even if they pivot (and they eventually will), I’ve got a long memory and don’t compromise on who I support or boycott. Downplaying the importance of spam issue isn’t just bad optics - it’s arrogance, blindness to second-order effects, or outright malice.
On the flip side, I’ll keep backing companies like @Start9 who took the right side of this fight long before it was safe to say it. Their servers are what I’ll be recommending to friends and family.
With Knots adoption already nearing 20% of the network, any Bitcoin company doubling down on spam-apologist behavior is playing with fire - it’s likely to be a costly marketing move. FAFO
