It's official. I'm starting an advocacy organization for more bridge failures. Pro-freedom, anti-perfection. "Safety" is overrated, expensive, and relatively dumb in-so-far as the costs are never factored into the equation. It's always "won't you think of the children" or some other non-sense. If costs were actually evaluated bridges would likely not be replaced until they failed, or near-so, and it's not unlikely there would be more inspections instead.
