Raising kids is different. Nobody tells you that you got lucky when you have a huge family. (8+ kids) They know it's non-stop hard work 24/7. And when your children turn out to be amazing, smart, outgoing, healthy, and well rounded, they know that you of put in the work. No luck assumed by anyone...
