Everything should always get more affordable over time.

There are only two reasons it wouldn’t:
• Technology or production capacity has been physically destroyed.
• Someone is counterfeiting vast amounts of money.

When you live your entire life thinking everything should always do the exact opposite - get more expensive - you’re being stolen from at an incomprehensible scale.

A third option is that someone along the supply chain sees prices drop and decides to pocket the new profit.

The invisible part: most people have been trained their entire lives to see rising prices as neutral — even healthy. So when money is debased it reads as 'the economy' or 'supply chains.' The theft is disguised as normalcy.
