Trump is doing his damndest to exponentially increase the power of the executive and convince his supporters (and many bitcoiners) to cheer him on.

Many things he wants to do are with Congress, but he and musk barrel forward illegally anyway even though he has majorities in Congress. Why?

This will backfire. The executive has gotten too strong, it doesn’t matter which party, too much power is concentrated in it. No bitcoiner should cheer this on. It will go against freedom, privacy, and cause an increase in federal gov power in the hands of the executive as King

To play devil’s advocate - trump has signed far fewer executive orders to date than many presidents before him. I don’t agree with the wake Musk is operating either but so far Trump has not significantly expanded the executive power in comparison to previous presidents.

Yuval Levin’s speculation: he lost in Congress in his first term (attempting to roll back affordable care act) when John McCain scuttled the effort. He is afraid of that type of defeat occurring again? And he—and Congress these days—don’t build coalitions well.

In November, the people demonstrated that they don’t care what laws he breaks. When they had power in the last four years, the law and democrats in power also demonstrated they don’t care what law he breaks. It’s over, we’ve slid most of the way from a corporate oligarchy to a soft monarch...

He has to fire up his compaign promises fast before they manage to have time to pull off lockdown 2 or some other BS , it happened to him in the first term he’s trying to avoid that

Sadly, I think this is the fate of any org of this size. Any time this much power is centralized/concentrated. It’s like an unwritten law of the human condition.

Churchill was right " Democracy is the worst form of government except for all the others" This includes a Monarchy. I share your concerns. Plus there's already a King. Kingbee 🤴 🐝.

I agree the executive branch has too much power, and the legislative branch has abdicated a lot of their power. What has Trump done that is illegal? He is the head of the executive branch so he has the ability to shape how it functions. If he is out of line then the legislature and the courts *shou...

I've believed for a long time the executive branch is our biggest threat to liberty. Each president assumes the powers of not just the Constitution, but of his predecessor, and of course whatever he needs to pass the 'mandate of the people', and let's not forget the unexpected crisis, then 4 years l...

The executive, legislative and judicial branch all have the same co-equal power By design, it is gamesmanship to see who will lead and who will follow. As long as the executive is using their power to diminish the size and scope of government I’m here for it.

What troubles you most about the executive's actions so far?
