I don’t think his point was that it’s actually dead. I think he was just calling out that it’s more complicated for the typical user than it needs to be. Everything I gathered is that the target is super easy user experience. I’m looking forward to playing with it.

Not killed, just past its time. It’s still “old trusty” BitTorrent, but it’s a tiny percent of its peak era.
