Fast ibd yeah… right. And nodes are still cheap, you can buy one with 2TB ssd and 16 GB RAM for… 600 EUR. Oh, and you also need fast internet connection. That surely doesn’t look prohibitive for running a node. We can all move on and maybe even make blocks bigger while we are it. 🤦♂️
