Tony, I'm on your side, no question. What if they create another COVID event times 10, cyber attack, wiping all bank data by malware, blaming it on xyz, make it so that people believe it is absolutely necessary to buy into the CBDC in order to get their money back, to eat, to survive. Now blaming bitcoin and co for it, the new terrorists, closing down all on- and off-rams, only kyc wallets allowed, anything else flagged. If that happens, you don't need to capture the network, you essentially wall it off. In that scenario, you can self-custody your grandmother and it won't make a difference. You can't bring your money into or out of the system, because they're gatekeepers. If that happens in the next year, there is not enough stuff you can buy with bitcoin, try booking a flight! Let alone the fact that most sheep will be too scared to go against the law and use the 'forbidden' network. I'm totally with you and bitcoin, but for Christ sake we are up against an enemy who has unlimited resources, a monopoly in violence, zero empathy and willing to do whatever it takes to defend their power. I don't see how this fight can be won.
