If I understand all of the harms it creates, then how can I ethically accept the benefits?

I don't really have a good defense to that, beyond the same way I compartmentalize any other convenience in life. My car is bad for the environment. A lot of my hobbies are bad for the environment. When I vote for a politician, i inevitably have to pick someone who supports things I don't like. I think in general, I've just accepted that's how life works.
