RPG Maker forums are being shutdown, no plans for even keeping them in read-only, priceless information/help that has been accumulating over years will be gone. "Want it? just make a backup".

That's an odd decision. I know forums aren't really a big deal these days (unfortunately) but something like RPG Maker is exactly the kind of thing that really benefits from that kind of community.
I wonder if RPG Maker isn't selling very well any more?
