Racks were all the rage :)
Seriously though, there is a lot of gorgeous sound in them thar racks.
Just musing on why rackmount synthesizers have become ever less popular over the years. I think in the 80s-00s, people had this new digital landscape. Everything can be programmed from one central place! What a utopia!
And they weren't wrong, particularly for professional musicians who needed to produce music quickly and repeatably.
But for a lot of us, a rackmount synth can never offer the hands-on musicality of one that has its own keyboard, and sits right in front of you.
