Can anyone recommend a good music player app for Android/Linux?

So far I've been using the #VLC media player in F-Droid, which is functional, but the UX isn't great. Particularly when it comes to managing excluded folders to keep non-music audio out of my track list.

Also, I can't seem to edit metadata with it. Eg so I can make all the albums I have in folders actually appear as albums, instead of using playlists to hack around that limitation.
