Yes, battery is a bit limited in capacity. I have more than one, especially if I am shooting in cold weather. One stays in a pocket, warm and ready to go.

This older camera body does not have an intervalometer built in. There is a hack where you can make it behave as if it has an intervalometer.... if you are interested in creating time lapse sequences. If you create a series of jpegs in a Time series, you can use this software, which is free, and combine them into a video:
