I know you're Christian posting, and this is a bit off base. The way I explained it on gab once was that I think Warhammer 40k is a very good representation of our world in a lot of ways.
The Empire built itself in a stupid way where they had killed each other for so long in order to unify earth, that they stopped really seeing the death around themselves.
This led to "hive planets" and the practice of creating servitors - which were lobotomised human beings who were synthesized with machines to create "thinking robots" for various tasks.
All this created the undercurrent of human emotion that created the warp.
I always thought it was a great metaphor.
