So my 101-year-old dad's funeral was this morning. My brother gave the nice eulogy he wrote out last night. We all did a little sing-along of the ditty that Dad sang all the time โ the doodle doodle doo doo part from A Bushel and a Beck from Guys and Dolls: https://youtu.be/jKtEtVxa5co?si=iUbfR7MS_mYx_Lmr&t=117
The part that really got to me though, was when his primary caregiver for the past three years got up to talk, unscripted, just from the heart. It was poignant, funny โ and captured the essence of Dad so very well.
Goodbye, Dad. You'll be missed. ๐
