The form of government is irrelevant if people are good. The problem is that people aren't good (we are sinners). Thus, decentralizing power with checks and balances is the safest way to preserve liberty and avoid plunder. When Christ returns and the government rests on his shoulders (Isaiah 9), I will be thrilled to live in his monarchy.
