As a father myself, I agree discipline matters—but I’ve learned it’s not something you impose, it’s something you model and build over time.
Kids don’t lack willpower—they’re still developing it. Our role is to provide structure, stay consistent, and lend them our calm when they don’t have their own yet.
Discipline without connection creates fear. Connection without discipline creates chaos. The real work is holding both.
