Nostr seems a lot less hostile. While Twitter rewards being a dick, it looks like being a dick on Nostr is embarrassing.

Liking it more and more. Other things:
- More engagement with 4k followers v 500k on Twitter
- Better responses
- Instant responses

100% #Nostr is forever.
Andrés · 167w
Also small accounts get better exposure and interaction with bigger accounts.
Ball-stabbing Emmanuel McCoy · 167w
Give it time.
J · 167w
Better quality, for sure. Spend time accordingly.

Hola Peter!

Nostr is where the signal is at. It's different, because we all feel as if we're building in some capacity. We feel as if Nostr is *ours*. Every time a developer pushes an update or adds a new feature, we all win. We all feel the successes and it resonates with us. Plus, we also understand that your...

Glad to hear it. For a pleb like me it’s zero engagement, just crickets, on Twitter vs a fun and interactive experience here.
Ahshuwah Hawthorne · 167w
Your Grayscale CEO interview was a banger. Now do the BlockFi CEO.
Mike Brock · 167w
The bad news, is early Twitter felt like this too. Eventually the trolls will show up. I think the good news though, is there’s no ad-model based incentive to stoke rage for engagement, which amplifies the dickishness.

It do be facts
Mags · 167w
💯 healthier vibe, welcome 💜🤙🏼

Have you experienced zaps yet?

A protocol still without algos. We are so early that it's almost like we know everyone here. He have to appreciate this moment since probably will not last long when the masses will onboard. Yesterday we were on one of the first "space" with all devs talking together how to improve the protocol for ...

responses are faster because we see posts from people we follow, instantly rather than having to sift through the 90% BS the Twitter algorithm thinks we wan to see ⚡

I get much better engagement on Nostr than on Twitter. I'm pretty sure half my Twitter followers are just bot accounts.
Deep See-er · 167w
Each one is incredible on its own, but nostr + bitcoin/lightning = some kind of cool new baby being born.
And1 · 167w
💯 this, but let's see if nostr stays that way when more people than just the btc bubble is here.
poorbaldmonkey · 167w
I only use(d) Twitter to try to find news that I miss in other places. And, it's not that it's a good platform for that, but rather it was one of few options I'm aware that I can use for that without putting in a lot of work. With Nostr, I'm trying to remember how to be social online. And, I have...
gaz · 167w
It seems so far to be all Bitcoiners but hopefully that’ll change.
Reed · 167w
I can speak from the perspective of a pleb. Had to burn my old Twitter account in September 2021. In 17 months I'm up to 251 followers on Twitter. I'm over 100 in a month on Nostr.
ragster · 167w
Love to see it
tankjr · 167w
Nice indeed, but im wondering what 2 order's of magnitude increases in user count will do to the platform.
Don · 167w
Plus zaps!
Petroit · 167w
The same way central banking corrupts money and everything around, big tech social media algorithms and censorship corrupts human behavior on such platforms. Nostr is immune to this same way bitcoin is immune to central banking. Viva la revolución!
Rob · 167w
British wit is based off of sarcasm and this often doesnt travel well online in pure text format. Id always assumed this was the cause of a lot of spats. Will be interesting to see if the algorithm has its hand on the scale
DETERMINISTIC OPTIMISM 🌞 · 167w
Smaller communities have more aligned individuals and more social accountability. As things grow that may change on the universal feeds. But you could still have smaller subgroups with similar vibe.
BigPrest · 167w
Less people on the app = less dicks on the app.
titi · 167w
I'd say the money powering Nostr commands a better human conduct as opposed that powering Twitter. Bitcoin is changing human conduct.

👍
Peter · 167w
Agree, I have stopped posting on Twitter and I just hang out here instead 💜
Benn · 167w
Agree. It’s also interesting to see that sometimes the same people will word the same post differently here. Almost as if on Twitter they write it already waiting for the animosity
Derek Orrell · 167w
It’s amazing what you can hear when you reduce the noise.
HashTrash4Cash · 167w
Since I’m a newbie that’s pretty nice to hear. Sadly I think most folks are right. Success and dicks go hand in hand. Success in one hand, a dick in the other? There’s a good joke there somewhere but I’m butchering it :)
SunshineAndBitcoin · 167w
Peter, you have been absolutely crushing the podcasts lately. 🙏🏼. Vocalizing the different perspectives is such a nice change. Not sure if there has been some behind-the-scenes change but it feels more honest.
matt · 167w
That's a huge difference in engagement.
Pal · 166w
Let’s see how it holds
Jaime · 166w
All the great things I see people say about Nostr sound like they’d go away the second it scaled and had the audience of Twitter. Hell is other people.
Rich Nost · 164w
LOL. He said before abandoning nostr. This is a feature, not a bug. #[0]
