What is gender ideology. Couldn’t you say that we have been having a gender ideology for a good while now in the form of heteronormativity and bullying of non gender conforming people?
I mean, in the case of MtF trans people, what you effectively have is a bunch of predominantly straight white males who have decided to embody and fetishize an overtly sexist and regressive stereotype of women. It takes some serious mental gymnastics to say that isn't heteronormative.
