The running update from Thursday to today.
Thursday: easy run with strides 4x20sec and shuttle training (9+10).
Friday: easy social run with @HumbleStacker but he found it a little harder 🔥😂 (also strides 4x20sec!).
Saturday: 21km trail race (27km total). Also stacked a lot of strength on top of this. So it was a big day.
Sunday: 10km easy running (4km uphill treadmill ⚡️) with more strides 4x30sec.
The Race was super fun. I felt really good. Didn’t go into it with the attitude of let’s fuck around and find out like a few of my previous races. So I started quite controlled and to the back of a few other racers.
Then it happend, 4km in we missed a turn or something and got a little lost. I took the lead of getting us back on track but took some more wrong turns... Then we, a group of 7 people, got convinced of the way back and I felt good so I just took of away from the others.
Little did I know I was going the wrong direction another time. I found out 5-6km later when a helper wondered if I wasn’t there a little early 😂 She said this is km 16, and I had run around 10. At this point I was not going to go back and find the way. Instead I found a nice ~1km loop in this area and did 6-7 loops to continue what was now my workout. Then I ran the last part correctly on the course! 🤙
I was not once sad that I fucked up, to me this was just instead of training alone. So I was happy. I felt more sorry for the others that also ran the wrong direction. Anyway, shit like this happens. It’s about doing the best of the situation. I still think was one of the most fun runs I’ve done this year. The trail was rally nice.
And comparing my time to the overall results I could probably have gotten 4 or 5 position. So that also very good 🙏
Lots of lessons learned, can’t talk about it all here. If anyone happens to read this mess I’m very sorry for u 😂😂
Have a great Sunday and let’s get ready for another week! 🔥🧡💜
