We made a lot of money on our wedding. Would do an even bigger wedding, next time, if I did it again, and it already had hundreds of people and lasted three days.

Wild. We got married at the local farmers market. Few friends and family. We didn’t receive much money, but we didn’t spend much either.

Yeah, I originally suggested a big BBQ in park, but we went with the Full Bavarian, instead. The whole thing (all three days, together) costed less than €10k and was quite wonderful and elegant. I'm not sure why other people's weddings are so expensive. Wedding math is weird.

But he was actually asking who eloped, not how much the wedding costed or how big the wedding was. A small, inexpensive wedding is still a celebration of the new marriage, with friends and/or family.
