Cool, you can say rules are irrelevant, then blabber about "markets and economics" to demonstrate you nothing about how Bitcoin actually works. It doesn't change the fact that, just like how if you go against your boss's rules because you believe "the market knows better", you're fired, if miners go against the rules set by the nodes because "muh market", their blocks are rejected from being added to the chain, and they lose all their money.
