The US is supposed to a representative republic not a democracy. Democracy is mob rule.

Honestly I dont know. It may be true though. What I know for sure is that the thing we have here in the crooked West is far away from any conceivable definition of democracy and much closer to plutocracy, technocracy and oligarchy with a growing aftertaste of totalitarianism and neofeudalism.
