Try to make it fun? Ask about what he did or learned. Ask about who he played with at recess or sat with at lunch or if he made new friends. I guess find out why he hates it. What he specifically doesn't like about it. As time goes on he may end up changing his mind as he gets used to things too.

Short answer is you don't. Some kids are not suited to the school system. Trust him and how he feels, encourage him to persevere as it may pass and become something he loves, or at least tolerates. But, begin to prepare for something alternative to schooling for him if his feelings don't change. ...
