Why did my edited post lose all the comments and reactions? π€
Imagine you wrote a note and gave copies to many people.
Later, you found a typo.
You can't erase the copies they've already received, so you write a new corrected note instead.
That's how Nostr works.
When you edit a post, it doesn't change the original one. It creates a new post with a new ID.
That's why:
π The original post is replaced. π¬ The old comments stay on the original post. β€οΈ The old reactions and zaps stay there too. β¨ Your edited post starts fresh.
Tip: If your post already has lots of comments or zaps, think twice before editing. A small typo may be better than losing the conversation.
