# I Want to End the Day with You

I want to end my day with you,
See the little things you do;
Watch you wander through the house
While I tend to mine there too.

I want to end my day with you,
Be beside you as daylight fades;
Curl upon the couch together
After candles, drawn-down shades.

I want to end my day with you,
Share a meal and share a smile;
Treasure all the quiet moments
That make living so worthwhile.

I want to end my day with you,
See you dress for bed at night;
Feel you slip beneath the covers,
Kiss your forehead, soft and light.

I want to end my day with you,
Reading from our favorite book;
Then I'd yawn and catch your eye,
And you'd answer with that look.

I want to end my day with you,
Feel you softly spoon with me,
Drawing ever close beside me
As we drift to peaceful sleep.

I want to end my day with you,
Dreaming dreams both bright and true—
Walking hand in hand together...

Every day begins with you.
