Some people are using Reticulum instead of TCP/IP, so it is situation dependent. There are other protocols being used for communication as well, like LoRa, amongst others. That's true decentralization.

In order to be truly decentralized, there cannot be "one true way".

There are people that refuse to ever use Bitcoin, and they are anti fiat/USD. Why? Because they are sovereign. There are many ways of doing commerce, and that's healthy for an economy.

Nostr has redundancy, and cryptographic verification, which is great, but there will be other methods of sharing infornation that have other benefits. Some already exist, and have been in heavy use. Just like anything else, Nostr isn't perfect, and in some ways, it sucks (DMs).

Having "one right answer" is a fiat-minded concept taught in public schools to prevent creativity. There are almost always multiple "right" answers, and that's a good thing. It doesn't hurt, I swear.
