After a couple of incredibly challenging days, followed by a couple of inspiring and heart-opening days, I wanted to update this thread.
This experience was one of the scariest ever, but in the end was just a scare and not the nightmare it looked like from the beginning.
Nonetheless, it was an opportunity to grow and evolve in a massive way, and I have come through the other side more of a man than I have ever been.
Identify the things in your life that matter most to you, and then act accordingly. Stay humble, stay active, lead with love, and find courage when it counts.

My wife told me this once, long before we were married (and back when I was under the impression that some sort of jungle/desert/ascetic journey was necessary for spiritual development).
She is one of the wisest people I have ever met, and these are words I try to live by.
Iโm going forward with and immense sense of relief, power, joy, and love. Generous love, expanded into corners I hadnโt expected. Passionate love, driven by forces Iโm deeply in touch with.
It feels like I became an adult, a man, over the past few days. Feelings fade and shift, so my work now is to carry and nurture this power within myself and for those around me who need it.
