---Reports---
-International Events-
1. NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey: President Trump is attending the NATO summit in Ankara (July 7-8), where he is expected to push allies on defense spending pledges (targeting 5% GDP in discussions) and signal willingness to restore Turkey’s access to F-35 jets. The summit occurs amid heightened tensions with ongoing Russian actions in Ukraine. (Reuters)

2. Explosions in Damascus during Macron’s Syria Visit: Multiple explosions occurred near the Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus, where French President Emmanuel Macron stayed overnight, wounding at least 18. Macron, who had entered the presidential palace to meet Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, was reported safe; his office confirmed the visit continued. Syrian state media and witnesses noted blasts in a busy central area. (Reuters, NBC)

3. Ukrainian drones hit Russia’s largest oil refinery as Zelenskyy says Siberia now ‘within reach’: Ukrainian drones struck a major oil refinery in the city of Omsk in western Siberia, in what appears to be one of Kyiv’s deepest attacks on Russian territory since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The strike caused a fire at the facility, which is situated nearly 2,500 kilometers (1,553 miles) from Ukrainian territory and close to Russia’s border with Kazakhstan. (CNBC)

4. Hamas dissolves its government in Gaza to transfer power to a UN-backed committee: The Hamas militant group said Monday it had dissolved its government in Gaza and is preparing to transfer power to a technical committee backed by the United Nations as part of a U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal. The Board of Peace, the new entity led by President Donald Trump with the mandate of governing and rebuilding Gaza, said it was aware of the Hamas announcement but would assess the impact based on “actions, not promises.” (AP) (AC- There is still the issue of disarmament.)

-US Events-
1. US Men’s Soccer Team Eliminated from World Cup: The US lost 4-1 to Belgium in the Round of 16, ending their 2026 World Cup run. Controversy surrounded a delayed suspension of US striker Folarin Balogun, with President Trump reportedly intervening via FIFA. Belgium advances to face Spain. (BBC)

2. Trump Administration Officially Launches Trump Accounts for Children: ‘The American Dream Starts Now’: According to reports, over 6 million accounts have been created, and 1.4 million newborns have received the $1,000 | 0.02 BTC federal contribution — available to children born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028. In order to open the account, parents must fill out Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 4547. Virtually anyone can make contributions to the accounts, including grandparents, employers, or certain nonprofits. (Breitbart)

3. Charlie Kirk’s widow faces his accused killer in court for the first time as prosecutors start presenting evidence: Erika Kirk, who sat beside her late husband’s parents in the courtroom, appeared visibly emotional at times as witnesses described the day Charlie Kirk was shot and killed while addressing a crowd of thousands at a Utah university last September. Donald Trump Jr., a close friend of Charlie Kirk’s, was also seen in the court Monday with his wife, Bettina Trump. (CNN)

-Regulatory and Legal-
1. Digital Chamber amicus brief urges dismissal of NY lawsuit over 39,069 Bitcoin wallets: The Digital Chamber filed an amicus brief urging the dismissal of the New York lawsuit seeking ownership of 39,069 dormant Bitcoin wallets, arguing it would set a dangerous precedent for self-custodial wallets. Digital Chamber argues that a ruling based on the plaintiffs’ theory would undermine the “foundational principles of digital property ownership, with negative ripple effects reaching the traditional finance industry.” (CoinTelegraph) (AC-This 'abandonded property' suit includes wallets of Satoshi Nakamoto.)

-CBDCs/World Currencies/Strategic Reserves-
1. USDT Returns to Bitcoin: RGB and UTEXO Enable Private Lightning Settlements: Tether, the company behind USDT, is preparing to issue the stablecoin natively on Bitcoin through the RGB protocol version v0.11.1. Deployed by the UTEXO software lab, USDT is set to return to the chain where it first launched in 2014 via the Omni-Mastercoin Layer. The RGB protocol combines its novel client-side validation with the Lightning network for instant, private settlements, while anchoring security to Bitcoin’s UTXO model. (BitcoinMag)

-Institutional Concerns-
1. Strategy Sells $216M | 3,588 BTC in Bitcoin for Dividends Under 'BTC Monetization Program': Strategy sold 3,588 BTC between June 29 and July 5 for $216 million, using the proceeds to fund preferred-stock dividends and refill its cash reserve. The sales leave it holding 843,775 BTC alongside a $2.55 billion U.S. dollar reserve. The firm booked an $8.32 billion loss on digital assets in the second quarter, almost entirely unrealized. (Decrypt)

2. Trump-Backed American Bitcoin (ABTC) Pushes Treasury Past 8,000 BTC: American Bitcoin Corp (Nasdaq: ABTC) has moved its treasury past 8,000 bitcoin, the company said. The total marks a climb from about 5,401 BTC at the end of 2025, a gain of close to 50% across six months. American Bitcoin builds its stack through two channels: mining production and treasury purchases. In the first quarter of 2026, the firm mined 817 BTC and added 1,620 BTC to its reserve, a rise of about 30 percent in three months. (CoinTelegraph)

-Economic Indicators-
1. US Logistics Growth Accelerates to 2022-Highs: The Logistics Manager’s Index in the US increased to 71.1 in June 2026 from 69.5 in May, pointing to the strongest growth in the logistics sector since March 2022. (TradingEconomics)

2.Treasury Yields Edge Higher: The yield on the US 10-year Treasury note edged up to 4.50% on Tuesday, reaching its highest level in two weeks, as a renewed rise in oil prices fueled inflation concerns. (TradingEconomics)

3. US Stocks Rise as Chipmakers Rally: US stock indices closed higher on Monday on strong gains in semiconductor stocks. The S&P 500 added 0.7%, the Nasdaq 100 rose 1.3%, and the Dow closed at a record high of 53,056. (TradingEconomics)

-Technology and Science-
1. AI is powering an economy in which many Americans are falling behind: The diverging fortunes of the poorest and wealthiest Americans has emerged as a key theme in the US economy, and experts say AI is playing a significant role. The winners in today’s economy are clearly involved in the development and funding of AI, including early investors. “If you exclude AI, business investment would be actually falling, which is quite unprecedented outside of recessions,” said Maxime Darmet, senior economist at Allianz Trade. “The technology is powerful in propping up the economy, but at the same time, there’s a lot of spending being cut in more traditional areas.” (CNN) (AC-See below)

-Bitcoin Community
1. Bitcoin miner bottom signal now depends on who survives weak mining profits: A Bitcoin miner stress composite has dropped to rare undervalued levels, echoing past periods of severe miner pressure. Weak hashprice now matters more, because it determines which operators can stay online, avoid forced BTC sales, and wait for relief. The key question is whether difficulty falls fast enough, or whether older, high-cost fleets are forced into curtailment and consolidation. (CryptoSlate)

2. Two Bitcoin Forks Are Coming in August: One is a proposed soft fork called BIP-110. The other is a planned hard fork called eCash, backed by Drivechain architect Paul Sztorc. BIP-110, also called the Reduced Data Temporary Softfork, was authored by Dathon Ohm. Public miner signaling for BIP-110 has been low. BGeometrics data showed daily signaling at 2% to 3% in early June. Cumulative signaling was around 0.42% through July 2, out of 9,066 blocks tracked since May 1. That’s the paradox: visible support looks thin, but the mechanism still creates a real coordination event with the potential for disruption. Paul Sztorc’s eCash project is not trying to change Bitcoin from within. It’s building a new chain that exists whether or not Bitcoin’s existing infrastructure recognizes it. Existing bitcoin holders would receive an equivalent eCash balance at that snapshot, and a coin-splitter tool is reportedly planned to separate the two assets afterward. (BitcoinCom)

-Bitcoin Sentiment-
1. Fear(0)/Greed(100) Index: 27/100 (Up 3 pts)

Analyst Comments (AC): As the CNN article above explores, AI is yet another disruptive technology that will have unequal effects on the population. Some will benefit and some will lose economic power. This a first principles maxim, common to all technology improvements. Some will fight for status quo, and lose; while others adapt, survive and thrive. Continue to learn, adapt and thrive as these technology earthquakes increase in frequency. Just don't lose your grounding, working to make your world and influence a real positive in a world that needs it.
