I don't think it will happen even after decades but that's besides the point. People here do things like save for retirement and retirement will eventually arrive and it needs to be sorted by then.

Retirement means Bitcoin capital in search of a spendable MoE. We can hope it'll be Monero over CBDCs by then.

Why can't people who're retiring just convert back their SOV'ed sats to fiat? What needs to be "sorted out" there? If retiree makes 1 tx/month converting sats-->fiat that's not overly many txs.
