Is there already a tool or planned for future release to easily import existing epubs?

Yes, #Scriptorium. I'm using it for Asciidoc and HTML, so far, but Euler has EPUB and PDF formats planned. It will become integrated into the #Alexandria web app, but it's a CLI, so far.

Well, I got it published. The first time, it had no title. So, I tried again. Somehow it published as 40+ separate things. Oh well, it is out there now. That was the main goal. I have no idea what went wrong.
