@nprofile1q... The limiting factor in my case ended up being slew rate. I suspect that using fast RF schottkies for both the sampling gate as I did, and to generate an edge to use as stimulus you may be able to get down to dozens of ps rise time with a small budget. The higher you go, de-embedding the pulse shape gets more difficult though.
