Seems like spark is being implemented into many apps these days.

I appreciate their work but still it feels like a vendor lock, since there is basically only one spark service provider.

Ahh - so that is why everyone implements this because the burden of maintaining the infra and liquidity is on the other side. So basically it's a API like service. Is it even possible to eventually run one Spark node as well - or it's not foss like solution?
