$170 to replace battery in my pixel:wisp_mad: Guess I'm getting a new phone
Duncan Cary Palmer profile picture
I installed GrapheneOS on a Pixel 7a I bought a couple of years ago. It has problems nobody else seems to have or have a solution to... Particularly, when I press the power button, however briefly, it reboots.

I've found a workaround using assistive functions, but (like @utxo the webmaster ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป) I've decided to purchase a replacement.

Here's my real question today:

Is there any good, user-friendly, complete backup app for GrapheneOS that will export 100% of my existing phone to external storage? I want to import to a new GrapheneOS device and confirm all is well before abandoning my broken Pixel 7a...

no, there isn't, that's not a thing on Android (or fixme, I'd love to be wrong on this)

Nope. Do it manually. It takes some time, but it isn't hard and it's better than trusting a thing to do a thing.

Make a backup to your computer. Connect it to usb and open settings. You have to allow data transfer in Graphene for that session or else it'll just power the device. Once you can see the device as a drive on your computer just make a copy.

My grapheme problem is data won't work. I can move Sim back to my Samsung and it works but I wanna use the degoogled pixel 6a.
