did you hear Mechanic's explanation of how the mining hardware industry has issues as well?
It sounds like a lot of SHA256 miners took Luke's original code, close sourced it, embedded it into the hardware (with possible backdoors?). or even just down to using inferior silicon for mining equipment that gets sold to plebs.
I could imagine since this is a 16-year old pipeline, that the battle has gotten down to the silicon level.
